Evaluation of intangible assets has therefore become more and more important. Liancheng Assets Appraisal Firm came into being against such a background.

Liancheng Assets Appraisal Firm (which is now called Liancheng Assets Appraisal Co. Ltd.) under the State Patent Office (which is now called the State Intellectual Property Office) was established in August 1994 for the purpose of providing services to investors and the large number of owners of intellectual property. As the first evaluation institution for intangible assets in China, the launch of the firm obtained great attention from the major media overseas and in China.
